If Ivy has the thalassemia trait, then the ob/gyn would have
suggested that the couple seek genetic counseling and
testing.
If Adrian were to be a carrier of the trait (not afflicted, but a
carrier), the child would have a 50% chance of having thalassemia.
The only way to find out if he is a carrier is to be tested. He
would KNOW that she has thalassemia.
Either he's full of sh1t , or you are.
And I sincerely hope you are not the little girl's step-mom,
considering how vindictive you are.
Remember this, the child will be a carrier of this trait.
If anything happens to the mom and Adrian gets full custody, it is
his RESPONSIBILITY to inform the child that she is a carrier.
If you are so religious and forgiving, you need to let it go and
STOP LYING.
